Made a visit to ArtScience Museum of Marina Bay Sands Singapore last weekend, definitely not my first trip nor will it be my last. Amidst my busy schedule these are the little trips that I’ve enjoyed making in life and the exhibits explored were Titanic – The Artifacts Exhibition and Andy Warhol – 15 Minutes Eternal.

Queued in anticipation for 1 hour plus before embarking on my Titanic exploration and the fact that it was the last day of Titanic exhibition probably contributed to the long queue. “The idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting” as quoted by Andy Warhol and so it was, exact sentiments.

Most of us would have watched the movie “Titanic” that is currently screening in Singapore cinema. In the 1900s, Titanic is one of the largest and most luxurious passenger liners at the time and was considered by many to be unsinkable. Her maiden voyage was her last voyage and discovered many years later in 1980s lying 13,000 feet below the surface in the Atlantic Ocean. And so April, 2012 marks 100 years after its sinking and till today after the Titanicremains an enduring legend.

Most would have watched the animation movie “Despicable Me” on screen, on DVD and online. Heartwarming story though with intentions at the start and alot of laughter generated due to the cute and playful minions. There is a sequel to it?? *OMG* When is it screening?? To be shown in 2013! BaBa-NaNaaaaaaaaa!!!!! haha All excited about it when I saw the news released on Despicable Me 2, watched the video only to realised it will be shown in year 2013. Perhaps year 2012 is not an auspicious year for screening movies? Did the belief on Mayan 2012 contributed to the delay? Afterall, the Mayans believed that 2012 is the end of the world? And I thought earth will be invaded and destroyed by Aliens as seen on screen or more probable natural disasters. The latter seems reasonable.
