2013 Sssssnake Year!

Happy Chinese New Year! May the snake year brings you everything that you’ve desired and much more. 金蛇年到了! 祝大家＂蛇＂麼都如意！作＂蛇＂麼都成功！今年huat huat huat !!! :P

Happy Ssssnake year!

Rise and shine on the first day of Chinese Snake Year. Neither slithering, nor scaly remains on ground or hissing sound made when making my way out of my house only rushing as usual with my hair 3/4 dry due to staying up late on CNY eve. You must be wondering why? It is believed that the children have to VIGIL (守夜) in return for their beloved parents to live till a ripe age and so I did. :)

Off to the church

Started my day early at 8.30am in a church, gave praise and thank god for his love and blessings. Tuning into the pastor’s preaching is awesomely good for my soul!

Thereafter, it was time to pay my relatives a New Year’s visits or the chinese called it “拜年”. This is when we began our feasting, catching up and exchange auspicious greetings.

The children and young, single ones are always jubilant to receive red packets (紅包)  from their seniors or married persons. As always the house is filled with laughters and auspicious greetings to one another. One can never go wrong with恭喜發財. Or a longer version, 祝您在新的一年里心想事成,万事如意! Good facial exercises after one hearty day.

Holding anything that is auspicious and lucky as we posed for a Chinese New Year picture after dinner. I gotta feeling that 2013 gonna be a FANTASTIC n LUCKY year!

A new addition to the family tree is a cutie pie from my cousin who gave birth to an angel 1o months back. This kid sure grows fast and brings joy to people! Next shall be my sister? :P

Hahaha such a cutie pie! The day ended and Chinese New Year visiting will last for 15 days. How did yours go?

Yummy Beancurd

And the BEST beancurd award goes to “Lao Ban Tou Hua“, according to TLC Babe Blogshop. Truly and thoroughly enjoyed the supple, tasty cold beancurd today. I have been searching and trying out good beancurds all over Singapore and this I must say is my FAVOURITE!

There are a few outlets in Singapore and today I’ve bought mine at Cityvibe Clementi. The small mall just beside Clementi Mall. There are 2 batches for sale of their beancurd which starts at 1pm and 6pm, closes when sold out. I was at the end of the queue despite the store was yet to be opened. Witnessed 2 persons ordered 20 packs of beancurd at one go, I was quite amazed at the same time waiting patiently till it was my turn. It did not take long and after 15 mins or so, I’ve got my hands on my “PRECIOUS“. Happily ordered mine and ate it! What a fulfilling day! Eating beancurd makes me HAPPY! :D

I’m such a big fan and my mum managed to get up close and personal with the Lovely Kate on their visit to Gardens By The Bay on her video camera. Lucky Mum! Kate is a ravishing beauty and she dresses extremely well! WOW!!!

She encompasses the good looks, brains and a good heart. There will always be a bunch of Screwed up heads who enjoy terrorizing people’s lives by invading a person’s privacy as in Kate’s case. Thank god that the photos were recovered. If such an incidence had occurred in medieval times, it would have been “off with their heads”.

Night Festival 2012

Oh my, i haven’t blogged for quite some time. Attended the Night Festival events over the last two weekends of August and was I extremely glad and thrilled that I did! The events were held at night, obviously and at several locations such as the National Museum of Singapore, Asian Civilisation Museum, Peranaken Museum, Singapore Art Museum and Singapore Management University.

The highlight of this event is most probably La Argentina where it showcased a band marching down Armenian Street with drums, whistles, loud cheers and a Feisty Angel filled with energy.

And then there was hands on session where i tugged up my sleeves and allow my creative juice to start flowing in my Mask creation. This is my very first attempt on making a Butterfly Mask.

Raining Man!

It’s raining MAN, Hallelujahhh! Not too literal, you wouldn’t find men littered everywhere though the Hell gate opens today, maybe just “things” u can’t see. But the good news is that it finally rained heavily this morning! What a relief :)

What’s better than to be tuning in to a soothing song as you lay back and enjoy this cooling weather. Here’s a song  by 吴克羣 (Kenji Wu) – 全部都给你 (Giving you everything).

Sweet yet sorrowful song that the singer brilliantly expressed it in his voice.

Norway Northern Lights

What are your 7 wonders of the world? I will not hesitate to include Spectacular Norway Northern Lights as a must see in my life time other than visiting the Castles in France or parts of Europe. Life can be a wonderful thing when god’s creation is for all and the best thing being it is only a plane ticket away. Enchanted and mesmerized by the sights of Norway Northern Lights and desirably looking forward to catch a plane soon if only I am not so far away from my destination. Someday! :)
